This wedding day was what dreams are made of. A true Summer garden party, set against the rolling fields and soft skies of Minnesota. From the moment the bride began getting ready with her friends in a cozy white cottage, you could feel the warmth and joy of the day. She wore a simple silk robe, while her hair and makeup came together in soft, natural tones.
His emotion when he saw her was so endearing and beautiful. They both shared a moment to really take in the enormity of the day, and just pause and breath together. These quiet moments are the ones that will stick with you always in the years to come. The time you stopped, to just observe your wedding day as it unfolds.
After their first look, we took bridal party pictures. The bridesmaids surrounded the bride in a palette of pale pinks, each holding delicate parasols that completed the romantic summery look. And the groomsmen providing a visual anchor in the photos with their sleek black suits.
When it came time for the ceremony, the setting couldn’t have been more beautiful. Rows of wooden benches faced a large wooden cross, surrounded by green hedges and open sky. The flower girl, who also happened to be the couple’s daughter, walked down the aisle with her dad. And she quickly stole everyone’s hearts before the bride made her entrance. It was really adorable. The whole ceremony was the perfect meaningful moment: heartfelt, relaxed, and full of love. I don’t think there was a dry eye when they said “I Do”.
And after they were officially married, we snuck away for some photos with their little one. Making sure to capture some special family moments on this relaxed day.
The space was filled with flowers, greenery, and long wooden tables lined with candles and white blooms. Every detail was intentional, and created a cohesive look for their day. From the hanging lights to the warm wood and soft floral touches. The newlyweds shared emotional toasts, heartfelt hugs, and laughter that carried late into the night.
As the sun dipped low, we slipped outside during golden hour for portraits that felt like pure magic. The bride’s flowing veil caught the light perfectly as they walked hand in hand through the grass. Before heading back to celebrate, they added a custom lock to the venue’s tradition chain. A symbol of their new era together as a family.
If you’re wanting to curate a day that centers around the people in your life & the celebration of your marriage, I really recommend taking a relaxed approach that allows for intentional time. Space out your timeline. Leave breathing room. And let the magic unfold.
